Andrea K Höst

Australian writer of science fiction and fantasy.
The Buzzard Table - Margaret Maron The pleasure of these books is as much the small town society, and Deborah's extended family, as the mystery. This time around two separate murders intersect, and there's a dash of international politics and espionage.Sigrid Harald appears for a second time, but I think she was really underused. It seems as if Maron would like to write more about Harald, but has placed the character at a dead end emotionally (after her rebirth thanks to Naumann and then the grief of his loss) and so can't write about her individually.Still, I enjoyed seeing her, and enjoyed the book. A solid entry in the series.
